Something I want five years from now

In five years, my answers might be different than they are now!

But from where I sit at this moment, at the age of 43:

I’d like to have my nursing degree.

I’d like to have a job as a nurse.

I’d like to have my dream car.

I’d like to have an empty nest, or almost an empty nest, not because I want to get rid of my children (!) but because I hope that in five years, they will all be successfully pursuing their adult lives as independent people.

I’d like to have a pretty small mortgage balance. If we stay in this house for another five years and just keep on our current payment schedule, we will not have a whole lot of principal left to go.
