My first thought after reading this prompt was about how we humans often say, “Oh, I wish I had time to ______”.
And while there are exceptions to this, it is true that the problem is often not that we don’t have time for something, but that we are just choosing not to prioritize that thing.
When all of my kids were little, I would have felt more justified in saying, “Oh, if I had more time I would ______”.
But at this point, if I’m not doing something with my time, it’s most likely a reflection of my priorities, not evidence of a lack of time.
I think I’m already doing quite a lot with my time and I regularly make time for things people often aspire to find time for (such as sleeping, exercising, cooking, reading books, and starting a side hustle).
And in anticipation of more time freeing up in my near future (with the end of homeschooling), I have nursing school plans.
Anyway! I don’t think I’m really answering this prompt properly because this is not a thought that runs through my head very often. But maybe when I’m in full-time nursing school, my tune will change!

I would make photo books or scrapbooks of my kids and their artwork and other things. Though a friend told me about Chat Books on Monday, so now that I have this knowledge then perhaps this will come down to a money thing versus a time thing. Can I justify it and find the funds… Hmmmm…

I did so much better at getting those photo books done when I bought the Groupons that had deadlines on them. That really made me make the time!
Without the deadline, I just did not get around to it.

Read more. I am always too tired at night!

There are way too many things I would do if I had more time. With a long work day/commute, and providing care for my husband, time is a commodity I’m always short on.
But I know I would volunteer at my church more. There have been so many wonderful, short term things I could have done… if I had time. I just can’t take five or six hours out of my Saturdays, or attend evening events, now. I used to be able to do that, and I miss it.
And also, if I had more time… I would sleep more!

If I prioritized my time differently, I would figure out a way to clean up our property and get some new trees and things planted.
This seems like a reflection of my answer to the “three things this summer” post. lol.

I would not have thought if this but, yes, I would continue photograph-drawings-scrapbooks of the family. I used to do this quite thoroughly but stopped somewhere along the way. Now I have 2 big boxes (shudder) of such materials. I may even get down to this…
I have time. I just find everything goes so much more slowly in old age–hard to get started. I would also, and this is important, go back to writing snail mail to some family members and a few special friends. It is incredibly enjoyed by the receivers and sometimes can be very important. For example, a 44 year old friend died ( not unexpectedly) of her heart condition. I was able to pick out about 25 of her replies to me to send to her grieving mother.
