I don’t think I could pick all-time favorites, but here are three that currently come to mind.
Always Good-Andrew Peterson
The truths in this song are so helpful to me when I feel discouraged.
“As we try to believe what is not meant to be understood
Will You help us to trust Your intentions for us are still good
‘Cause You laid down Your life
And You suffered like I never could and you’re always good”
I Remember-Lauren Daigle
I like this one for the same reasons as the first.
“I remember, I remember
You have always been faithful to me
I remember, I remember
Even when my own eyes could not see
You were there, always there “
Enough-Sara Groves
This one is beautiful to listen to, and I like how she describes life as patches of joy and stretches of sorrow. In my experience, life is always a combo of the two, which is a mercy, I think.
Imagine if life had just stretches of sorrow without any patches of joy!

This is not easy! I love so many songs and nearly every genre — the one with lightning and thunder in the middle of St. Matthew’s Passion (Bach), Solace (Scott Joplin), Livin on a Prayer (Bon Jovi), Sweet Child of Mine (Guns N Roses), Runaround (Blues Traveler), Sound of Silence (Simon and Garfunkel, or Disturbed, or a number of other covers), Mr Jones (Counting Crows), Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash), Grape Grape Joy (Amy Grant), Battle of New Orleans (Johnny Horton). I’ll stop. Nothing earthshattering or groundbreaking here, just favorites. 🙂
Current favorites include pretty much any Rend Collective, though especially My Lighthouse, and pretty much any Group VBS song from the last, um, seven or eight years’ flagship programs.

Right now, I am listening to “The Goodness of God”on repeat. It’s a reminder I need almost hourly these days.

Sometimes I get El Condor Pasa (Simon & Garfunkel) stuck in my head. I find it very calming.

I love many songs! A while back I decided that my favorite song is an instrumental by the Allman Brothers, “Jessica”. You’ve all heard it, or it’s easy to find to listen. It fits into happy, sad, and in-between, and somehow my mind and heart don’t get confused by lyrics…

I’m going to list five. 🙂
1. Perfect Peace by John Waller
2. Captivate Us by Watermark
3. I Saw the Light by Bart Millard (I had never heard of him until recently but am really enjoying it when he comes on my Pandora station)
4. Tis So Sweet by Jadon Lavik (really, any song on the Roots Run Deep album)
5. Give Me Jesus by Jeremy Camp
These are songs that God has been using to give my heart peace in the last few months, so I’ll call this my Peace All-Star List.
