To my right

Our cat is not one to initiate snuggles, but she does really like to be in the vicinity of people.

There are plenty of places in our house where she could be by herself, but she almost never chooses to hang out in an empty room.

So, when I look to my right, the cat is often there.

She might be next to me on the sofa, on the rug near my office desk, or on the floor next to the dining room table.

I know some people say cats just don’t care about people, but it is not true, at least when it comes to our cat! And we all think it’s cute that she wants to be constantly near us. šŸ™‚

I think that cats care about people. Just can be so different than how dogs express love. Your cat is gorgeous, btw. Love her eyes!

One of our cats is a total lap cat. If he is not in your lap, he is usually close by, much like your cat. He almost never initiates snuggling – he was a stray when we adopted him, so maybe it’s related to that, or how he was treated before his life on the streets – but once you initiate scratching behind his ears, he’s putty in your hands.

I think cats enjoy being by theirs humans. Most of our cats have loved to cuddle. We curently dont have a cat. I have a dog but have been missing a cat and seriously considering adopting a rescue! 🐈

Cat personalities are as varied as humans. Moves and being left with strangers can be difficult and take time to adjust. Also when children grow up and don’t need a pet as much they can become lonely. The fact that she stays close by shows she feels a bond to you all. If you want more of a cuddle bug she can probably be wooed.

Cats personalities are as varied as humans, and more endearing! And they love a routine, which makes me be more consistent in my own. I’m glad you have a sweet buddy to keep you company.

She looks so sweet – I might be getting myself a pet soon…

One of our cats always sleeps with my 8yo (and seemed to wait by the door a lot while she was away at camp last week) and the other cat is always about 30 seconds behind me when I head up to bed. We’ve enjoyed becoming a cat family. I’m so glad your cat is with you now!

I tried being catless once. Made it about 3 months. Couldn’t do it.
